Operated by the Media Technology and Publishing Center (MTPC), Creative Media Zone (CMZ) is an integral part of the Learning Commons in HKUST Library.

CMZ provides the space, tools and technical supports for students to learn, practice and create multimedia content to enhance their course works and out-of-class activities. It covers a self-access Graphics Space, a multi-function Media Production Studio, an AV Control Room, 4 Editing Suites, and a small dressing room. The facilities will support studio photography, video recording for presentations, performances and interviews and post-production, as well as digital printing, copying, scanning, binding and giant poster or banner plotting.

Workshops, talks and demos on photography, videography, computer animation, graphic design, multimedia and electronic publishing will be arranged to promote interactivity, creativity and media literacy in campus.

The Creative Media Zone also invites faculty and staff to make good use of the CMZ for their teaching and professional development. We welcome all HKUST members' collaboration and participation to turn the CMZ into an exciting and innovative media learning space in our University.
